Accessibility statement

Draft for counsel review. This document is not final. The terms of any engagement are set in the signed contract.

DRAFT for counsel review. Not yet adopted.

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

Innorve Inc. wants everyone at a credit union to be able to use Innorve Academy, including people who use assistive technology. This statement covers the Innorve Academy website at [WEBSITE DOMAIN], its free tools and the training platform.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

Conformance status: [CONFIRM after audit]. We have not yet completed an accessibility audit. Until we do, we do not claim full conformance.

What we build in

We design and build to these rules:

  • Semantic headings. Pages use a logical heading structure, so screen-reader users can move through them.
  • Keyboard operation. Everything you can do with a mouse, you can do with a keyboard.
  • Visible focus. You can always see which element has keyboard focus.
  • Labelled inputs. Every form field has a label that assistive technology can read.
  • Not colour alone. Status, errors and scores are never shown by colour alone. Text or icons carry the same meaning.
  • Zoom. Pages work when zoomed to 200%.
  • No required timers. No activity requires you to finish within a time limit on the page.
  • Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, we respect it.

How we test

  • Automated testing with axe, an accessibility testing engine.
  • Manual testing, including keyboard-only use and zoom.

Automated tools find only some problems, which is why we also test by hand. [CONFIRM: add screen readers and browsers used once testing is complete]

Known limitations

[CONFIRM after audit: list any known barriers and planned fixes here.]

Two notes for now:

  • Sign-in depends on email. You sign in with a one-time link or a 6-digit code sent to your email. There is no password to remember. [CONFIRM whether every sign-in email offers both the link and the code, so a person who finds one method difficult can use the other]
  • Links to your credit union's systems. The evidence binder links to documents kept in your credit union's own systems. The accessibility of those documents depends on those systems.

Feedback and help

If you have trouble using any part of Innorve Academy, tell us:

  • Email: [ACCESSIBILITY CONTACT EMAIL]
  • Please describe the page, what you were trying to do and any assistive technology you use.

We aim to reply within [CONFIRM] business days. If you need course material in another format, we will work with you and your credit union to provide it.

If you are a learner, you can also ask your credit union's facilitator for an accommodation.

Review

We will review this statement after each accessibility audit and at least once a year. [CONFIRM]
